Wholewheat Brownie – a hearty treat for the kids

Whole wheat brownie

Whenever my guests are kids I always make sure to serve them some healthy.  But yes, I can’t avoid chocolate,  its become the integral part whenever they are here, chocolate in a dessert is must.  I believe little bit of chocolate doesn’t harm you.  Does it?

They  believe, I am the best brownie maker but I know the magic lies in chocolate.  I was humbled and so happy by their statement. I have made these brownies so many times, always with so many variations sometimes with banana, oats, applesauce, pear, strawberry, cranberry, fudgy, no fuss  and red velvet brownies.

They always tasted heavenly but somehow, I never got the chance to  put my brownie in a post because this was something which was being made anytime and number of times in my house.   And I never took any photograph of them too. This time I decided to serve the kids hot brownie with hot chocolate sauce.  They were surprised, when I served them immediately taking the brownie out of the oven.  Surprisingly   they asked, what about the “fashion show” name given by kids for my food photography.  They  pursued me to take photographs of it. I loved their gesture.

For their this  sweetness,  I made one more dessert for  them.  They loved it.   In the end, the person who was responsible for this recipe is Mrs. Deepa Rajpal  of Passionate about Baking and all the credit must go  to  her.

A Chocolate Brownie  chocolate brownie is a flat, square or bar developed in the United States at the end of the 19th century and popularized in both the U.S. and Canada during the first half of the 20th century. The brownie is a cross between a cake and a cookie in texture.  Brownies come in a variety of forms. They are either fudgy or cakey, depending on their density  and they may include nuts, frosting, whipped cream, chocolate chips, or other ingredients. A variation that is made with brown sugar and no chocolate is called a blondie.

  4. Add the      eggs and whisk again, followed by the vanilla extract, then baking powder      and salt.
